Recapturing the spirit of the 1930’s Speakeasy.

These illicit establishments that sold alcoholic beverages came into prominence in the United States during the Prohibition Era. During this time the sale, manufacture and transportation of alcoholic beverages was illegal throughout the United States. Such transportation of this illegal business was known as Bootlegging. 

The word origin and history for these unlicensed saloons, (in New York “Voice”) from speak + easy, so called the practice of speaking quietly about such a place in public so as not to alert the authorities and its neighbours.
